Within the framework of the 1st International Hub in Veterinary Public Health (HPV Hub - Veterinary Public Health), the IDEX-Lyon Industrial Chair in Veterinary Public Health is recruiting its holder.

This teaching and research chair, supported by Boehringer Ingelheim, the CNRS, Claude Bernard Lyon 1 University and VetAgro Sup, is part of the "Health & Society" axis of the IDEX Lyon project and reflects the desire to make Lyon an international benchmark in veterinary public health.

This chair is part of an interdisciplinary dynamic based on a broader vision of public health ("One Health" approach). Its aim is to promote veterinary public health by creating transdisciplinary training courses for diverse and international audiences, and by setting up research projects in eco-epidemiology and socio-economics applied to the choice of intervention plans in animal health. This work will enable the development of decision support tools for public authorities and industry.

The Chairholder will be attached to the Laboratoire de Biométrie et Biologie Evolutive (LBBE) under the supervision of the CNRS, UCBL and VetAgro Sup. He or she will be able to draw on the particularly dense regional ecosystem based on the "One Health" concept, which allows trans-disciplinary approaches.

He (she) will have dedicated resources: 3 PhD students and 1 post-doc + access to the equipment, platforms and networks of the LBBE and its partners, as well as an educational engineer.
