We are looking for an organised, experienced project officer/consultant to take on a key role in the
implementation of a large and complex health-related project across multiple countries. The project
leadership team will be based in Lyon, France and you will need to work flexibly and creatively with this
team across several time zones. You will already have a background in International Development and a
strong understanding of health/disease/epidemiology/value-chains in food production.

We are seeking someone with initiative who can work well independently but who will readily accept
direction and support from the project leads. You will need to have an agile mind and love a challenge.
You are used to juggling a wide variety of tasks efficiently, determining priorities and holding to deadlines
and other obligations. You will be pragmatic, a clear thinker and have loads of common sense. Working
with collaborators from different countries and backgrounds will come easily and naturally to you because
you are a great communicator in both written and spoken English. You will be able to inspire and draw
the best out of teams as well as guide, shepherd and coordinate activities with sensitivity, good humour
and intelligence. You will be the operational linchpin for the project – the person everyone goes to first -
so you will have to keep up with different an excellent capacity to share the right information to the right
people at the right time.
