We are pleased to announce the organization of the 11th Basic Summer Course on Veterinary Epidemiology, by the Veterinary Epidemiology Unit of Ghent University.
This intensive two-week summer programme will take place from 14 September to 25 September 2026 and is designed for veterinarians, PhD students, researchers and professionals involved in epidemiology, disease control, public health, food safety and related biomedical fields.
The course combines theoretical training with practical applications and covers topics such as:
- Observational study design and data analysis
- Statistics in epidemiology
- Diagnostic testing
- Questionnaire design
- Monitoring and surveillance
- Outbreak investigation and disease control
- Risk assessment
- Biosecurity and on-farm visits
The programme is available both on-site and online.
