ECVPH ONLINE AGM & Annual Scientific Conference 2020: Programme published!

We are very pleased to be able to announce our finalised draft-programme for this year’s ECVPH Annual Scientific Conference which will be held online on 23. and 24. of September 2020. This year’s programme will explore “The impacts of COVID-19 on Food Systems and Veterinary Public Health” focussing on lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic for One Health, Food Systems and for the future of veterinary public health training and education

This programme will also include a special resident’s session and workshops together with Resident´s Networking on Day 2. The Annual General Meeting for Diplomates and residents will be held in the afternoon of day 1, before a special Residents session is going to close the day. Regarding the latter, we invite abstract submissions for the residents’ session (!) that allows residents to present their research work. This session is not limited to COVID-19, but open to submissions covering the whole range of VPH related research. Residents may submit a 1 page abstract (Calibri 12pt) to sophia.johler@uzh.ch by Sept. 5th, 2020 and will be notified if their abstract was selected for an oral presentation by Sept. 10th, 2020.

The Annual Scientific Conference is open to the general public and all will be organised online via Zoom (detailed link to be provided upon/after registration!)

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) for ECVPH Diplomates and Residents will be held on the 23rd September 2020 on another specific online platform (with detailed link and instructions to be provided upon/after registration!) at 15:20 (CET-Brussels time). The agenda will be made available online in advance. Diplomates are reminded that attendance of the AGM at least once in 3 consecutive years is compulsory, and that the status of Diplomates not complying with this requirement will be set to “non-certified”.

Registration details: It is essential that you register in advance (by/before 18. September 2020!) if you wish to attend or the conference and/or the AGM. The two events are not linked so it is possible to attend either the AGM or the conference, or both. Further technical details regarding online registration will be communicated soon!

We hope you will be able to join us for what promises to be an exciting programme and look forward to meeting you ONLINE!;)
